- Euro big front bumper for E28 M535i / M5. This bumper has built in mounts for fog lights and turn signals which the original part does not include. This means that you can get the Euro turn signals and fog lights mounted without Euro metal valance ( no metal valance is needed). It also comes with 2 small covers that clip in the bumper and hide the fog light mounts. Please see the last picture of the exact bumper installed on our customers car.This is a hand made brand new aftermarket part made from multiple composite materials. As this is an replacement part professional paint prep and install (some sanding, priming, filling) is always needed.Mounting: You need to remove the front bumper and metal valance before fitting this.Euro spec cars– you will need to remove the chrome bumper and the metal valance from the car first. This new bumper is bolted to the standard Euro spec center brackets with M8 bolts (included). The arch ends of the bumper have integrated mounts that correspond to the holes in your front fenders. The Euro fog lights and indicators can be bolted to this bumper without the original Mtech metal mounts which are No Longer Available new from BMW as the new bumper has the needed flanges for this. Some small 5mm diameter holes need to be drilled in this bumper for this.US spec cars– you will need to remove the diving board bumper and the metal valance from the car first. The USA spec chassis rail ends are much larger compared to the Euro spec frame rail ends (sometimes called “consoles”) due to the shock absorber mounting points. The new bumpers fog light recess buckets will hit on the bigger USA spec chassis rail ends. You will need to do some trimming of them- the outer upper bolt holes and lower bolt holes will need to be trimmed off. This means that US to Euro brackets will also need trimming and they will only be able to be bolted on one (most center on the car) bolt each. Second option is just to trim the new bumpers fog light buckets instead of the chassis rail end upper outer bolt holes- this allows not to cut the Euro to USA conversion mounting brackets. The third and the correct option is to cut off the USA sec chassis rail ends off entirely and replace them with the correct Euro spec chassis rail ends (“consoles”) and then use standard Euro mounting brackets. This new bumper is bolted to the standard USA spec chassis rail end upper bolt holes with the special Euro to USA adapter brackets.
