Performance A single processor from the E5-1600 v3/v4 product family offers 4 to 8 physical cores. Intel turbo boost is supported on select CPU options. The Dell T5810 workstation will also support select Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3/v4 CPUs with up to 18 cores and 36 threads. Quad-channel memory is supported plus a maximum of 2x PCIe Gen 2.0/3.0 graphics processing units (GPUs) in two separate PCIe Gen 3.0 x16 slots Storage Storage on this system is ample with support for up to 3x internally mounted 3.5-inch or 4x 2.5-inch SAS/SATA drives with a discrete PowerEdge RAID controller 6.0 (PERC). SAS drives offer access speeds of up to 12Gb/s, while SATA drives offer 6Gb/s access speeds. Up 2x-4x M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs are supported using the actively cooled Dell Precision Ultra-Speed Drive PCIe duo or quad PCIe cards. Optionally, CAS-W storage is supported enabling faster storage access on HDD drive types compared to a full complement of SSD storage devices. Memory With 8x registered memory module (RDIMM) slots available, and 4x memory channels, a maximum of two modules are supported per memory channel. Expansion Intel Xeon E5-2600 v4 product line supports PCIe 3.0 speeds, but the motherboard has a combination of both PCIe 2.0 and PCIe 3.0 sockets on the back of the system for support of expansion cards. There are 6x PCIe slots in total offering a mix of sizes and supported electrical lanes. Slot 2 and slot 4 on the system board offer PCIe 3.0 x16 electrical lanes for a maximum of 2x PCIe Gen 2.0/3.0 graphics processing units (GPUs) totaling up to 500W. Management Management of the system is through the installed OS. Teradici software is supported offering easy access to your remote workstation using a standard browser interface. Dell’s Precision Optimizer is a free program offered by Dell that provides a launch window for the independent software vendor (ISV) certified applications. The Performance Optimizer automatically configures the software to get the best user experience from the workstation, as configured, by automatically optimizing the system settings.
