At its price, it’s truly a great bargain. Design The Apple iPhone 14 Pro comes with a 6.1-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED Super Retina screen with a notch punch out for the camera and face unlock sensors, which is being called the Dynamic Island. It’s comfortable to hold with the square edges, with a screen to body ratio of 87.0%. An aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and supports HD10 which makes it an absolute delight to consume media with. It has an aluminium frame and glass back, and a scratch resistant ceramic Corning Gorilla glass with oleophobic coating front panel. It is very bright and vivid, peaking at 1000 nits. Its rated for IP68 dust and splash protection, so it can survive 6m of water for 30 mins. Performance Apple bumped up the chipset, introducing the new Apple A16 bionic, with a hexa-core CPU and a 5-core Apple GPU, with storage options of 6 GB for RAMQ & 128/256/512/1T GB for ROM. It of course does not come with an expandable memory option, but cloud storage has always been preferred option. Paired with the OLED screen, running the latest iOS 16 update, the performance is as good as ever. New haptic, design and software iteration makes a great compact interaction. Cameras The Apple iPhone 14 Pro has a triple camera arrangement on the back. It comes with a huge 48 MP primary sensor, for those excellent daylight photos. It also has a 12MP ultra-wide for portrait and landscape and an extra 12MP telephoto lens with a 3D TOF 3D LiDAR depth scanner. The video can support up 4k video at 60 fps, 1080p at 240fps, and 4k in cinematic mode with dolby Vision HDR support & gyro-EIS stability assistance. Like many iPhone devices before, it is an excellent camera phone. The selfie camera is a decent 12MP wide sensor, capable of 4k video at 60fps and 4k cinematic mode. The selfies deliver beautifully. this happens to be one of the best cameras on a phone, largely due to great software processing. Other features The Apple iPhone 14 Pro comes with fast charging, getting to 50% in 30mins. That’s fairly usable. The wattage is however unspecified. in addition to the fact that it also comes with a Li-Po 4323mAh non-removable battery, which is rather generous. Even with the high power screen, this should be more than enough . It supports NFC for contactless payments. it also comes with 15W Magsafe wireless charging and Qi magnetic fast wireless charging 7.5W. It comes in Space Black, Silver, gold and deep purple. Similarly, priced phones would include Samsung Galaxy S22 and iPhone 13 Pro. the main distinctions at this price point is often a choice of bigger screen or more memory. The options to increase screen or battery however lies solely on buying a different variant of the iPhone. The design is great, with a great aluminum feel. just like other iPhone’s before it, it is punctuated with great workmanship and flawless software integration. That’s why it has been the premium phone of choice for many high power users.
