How to Make the Perfect Earl Grey Latte

An Earl Grey Latte, sometimes called a London Fog Latte is a hidden gem just waiting to be discovered. This easy recipe makes a fragrant, creamy drink that’s a brilliant alternative to a Chai Latte or a classic cup of Earl Grey tea. It’s delicious hot or as an iced latte and only needs a handful of ingredients.

What You Will Need

Earl Grey Latte (Serves 2)

The Process

Make a Concentrate:

  • Measure the Earl Grey into a teapot and steep for 4mins with Boiling Water.
  • Add and stir in Honey/Agave and Vanilla Extract (Optional)
  • Pour into desired glass with a strainer where necessary.

For a Hot Earl Grey Latte:

  • Steam/Froth Milk until foamy, knock to remove large bubbles and excess air. Alternatively, gently heat the milk in a saucepan until steaming.
  • Pour hot milk into the tea concentrate and serve immediately.

For an Iced Earl Grey Latte:

  • Either chill the concentrate in the fridge ahead of time, or shock with ice using a cocktail shaker.
  • Pour the chilled concentrate into a glass and top with cold frothed milk to serve.

Serving Suggestions

This creamy latte is delicious on its own but also pairs beautifully with lavender shortbread or orange polenta cake. For a coffee shop style finish, garnish with a twist of orange peel or a few lavender petals.
